Jazeman's Racing Journey
Starting with Karting
Jazeman began his racing journey when he was just 6 years old in Shah Alam, Malaysia. What started as a fun hobby quickly became his full-time passion. He became a champion, winning eleven karting championships in Malaysia and across Asia. He even won a race in the Belgian Open Kart Championship.
Racing in Formula Renault
In 2006, when Jazeman was only 13, he joined the Asian Formula Renault 2.0 series. He was the youngest driver ever to get a special racing license from the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile), which is the main group that organizes motor racing. He finished third in the championship, earning four podium finishes.
Success in Formula BMW
In 2007, Jazeman competed in Formula BMW Asia. Again, he received a special allowance to race at 14 years old. He won the championship, becoming the youngest winner in Formula BMW history. There was a small delay in confirming his win due to a technical issue with his team's car, but after an appeal, his victory was confirmed.
Jazeman also raced in Formula BMW Europe in 2008 and 2009, improving his skills and finishing ninth in his second season.
Moving to Formula Three
Jazeman then moved up to the British Formula 3 Championship in 2010, racing for the Carlin team.
In 2012, he had a fantastic year, finishing second overall in the British F3 International Series. He also made history by becoming the first Asian driver to win the Grand Prix de Pau, a very famous race. He ended the season with 306 points, showing his strong performance.
Competing in Formula Renault 3.5
After Formula Three, Jazeman joined the Formula Renault 3.5 series with Carlin in 2013. Over three seasons in this series, he showed great talent. He earned one pole position (meaning he started a race from the very front), achieved seven podium finishes, and won the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix race. He raced for teams like ISR Racing and Fortec Motorsports.
