Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born June 10, 1963) is an American actress. She is known for her roles in many movies and TV shows. Jeanne started her acting career on stage, performing in plays in the early 1990s.
Her first major film role was in the 1992 thriller Basic Instinct. She also appeared in popular movies like The Firm (1993) and Waterworld (1995). On television, she starred in the HBO drama series Big Love from 2006 to 2011. Later, she joined the CBS police drama Criminal Minds from 2012 to 2014. Jeanne was also nominated for an Primetime Emmy Award for her role as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the 2009 HBO movie Grey Gardens.

Jeanne Tripplehorn was born on June 10, 1963, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her father, Tom Tripplehorn, was a guitarist. He played with a band called Gary Lewis & The Playboys. Jeanne's parents divorced when she was two years old.
She finished high school at Edison High School in 1981. After that, she studied for one semester at the University of Tulsa. Before becoming a full-time actress, she worked at a local rock radio station. Later, she attended the Juilliard School's Drama Division. She was part of "Group 19" from 1986 to 1990. Famous actress Laura Linney was also in her group.
Acting Career Highlights
Jeanne Tripplehorn began her career performing on stage. She acted in a play called Three Sisters on Broadway. In 1992, she got her first big movie role in Basic Instinct. The next year, she starred with Tom Cruise in The Firm.
