Jeffersonville is a small village in Wayne County, Illinois, United States. In 2020, about 355 people lived there.
Even though its official name is Jeffersonville, most people in the area call it Geff. You'll see "Geff" on road signs, at the post office, and in many official papers. The name "Geff" sounds like "Jeff". It's believed the railroad changed the name in the 1800s. This was to avoid confusing it with Jeffersonville, Indiana, another town with a similar name.
