Jehyve Jamal Floyd, born on June 27, 1997, is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for Petkim Spor in Turkey's top basketball league, the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL).
Floyd played college basketball for the Holy Cross Crusaders. There, he was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year in both 2018 and 2019. During those years, he led the league in blocked shots and also in shooting percentage. He continued to be a top shot-blocker, leading the Greek Basket League in blocks in 2020 and the Israeli Basketball Premier League in blocks in 2021.

High School Basketball Journey
Jehyve Floyd grew up in Parlin, New Jersey. He started his high school basketball career at Sayreville War Memorial High School. His coach was John Wojcik.
During his junior year, he scored about 10.5 points and grabbed 4.6 rebounds per game. In his senior year, he improved a lot. He averaged 17.5 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game. He was named Sayreville's Breakout Player of the Year in 2014. He also earned first-team All-Conference honors and was the team captain in his senior season.
College Career at Holy Cross
After high school, Floyd decided to play for Holy Cross. He played under coach Bill Carmody. At Holy Cross, he became known as one of the best defensive players in the Patriot League.
He was chosen for the All-Defensive team twice. He also won the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year award in both 2018 and 2019.
Junior Year Highlights (2017-18)
In his junior year, Floyd averaged 12.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. He also had 1.6 assists and 2.2 blocked shots per game. He led the Patriot League in blocked shots. He was also very accurate when shooting, making 66.8% of his shots. This was the best in the league and fourth-best in NCAA Division I. He received several awards, including All-Patriot 3rd Team and Patriot Defensive Player of the Year.
Senior Year Achievements (2018-19)
As a senior, Floyd continued to excel. He averaged 12.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. He led the Patriot League again with 2.4 blocked shots per game. His shooting percentage was even better at 66.9%. This was the best in the league and third-best in NCAA Division I. He was named to the All-Patriot 2nd Team and won Patriot Defensive Player of the Year again.
Floyd holds the record for the best career field goal percentage in the Patriot League, at 65.6%. He also finished second all-time at Holy Cross in blocked shots, with 193 blocks.
Professional Basketball Journey
After college, Jehyve Floyd was not chosen in the 2019 NBA draft. He then started his professional career overseas.
Playing in Greece
On September 13, 2019, Floyd joined Larisa in the Greek Basket League. In 20 games, he averaged 5.1 points and 5 rebounds. He led the league with 2.2 blocks per game and a total of 44 blocks.
On July 30, 2020, he signed with Promitheas Patras, another team in the same Greek league. He played only one game with them.
Time in Israel
On October 12, 2020, Floyd moved to Israel. He signed with Hapoel Gilboa Galil in the Israeli Basketball Premier League. He averaged 11.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. In the 2020–21 season, he led the league in total blocks with 62. He was also second in blocks per game (1.7) and total rebounds (267). He was very efficient, leading the league in two-point shot percentage (74.2%).
Return to Greece and Turkey
On July 19, 2021, Floyd returned to Greece. He signed with EuroLeague club Panathinaikos. Later that year, on December 20, 2021, he moved to Turkey. He joined Fenerbahçe for the rest of the season.
On June 24, 2022, he signed a contract with Galatasaray Nef in Turkey's Basketbol Süper Ligi. He also joined the Phoenix Suns for the 2022 Las Vegas Summer League. His contract with Galatasaray Nef ended on March 13, 2023.
Recent Teams
On June 13, 2023, he signed with Prometey in the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League. However, he left the team on July 3, 2023, without playing a game.
On February 23, 2024, he signed with Yukatel Merkezefendi in Turkey. He played 10 games, averaging 8.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game.
On May 9, 2024, Floyd returned to Israel to play for Bnei Herzliya.
Playing in Japan
On August 8, 2024, Floyd signed with Nagasaki Velca in Japan's B.League. His contract ended on November 1. A week later, on November 8, 2024, he signed with another Japanese team, the Ibaraki Robots, also in the B.League.
Current Team
On July 16, 2025, he signed with Petkim Spor in the Basketbol Süper Ligi in Turkey, where he plays now.
