Growing Up and High School Football

Jemalle Cornelius was born in Fort Meade, Florida. He went to Fort Meade High School. There, he played for the Fort Meade Miners high school football team. He was a talented player, even helping his team reach state runner-up spots in 1999, 2000, and 2001.

Playing for the Florida Gators

Jemalle earned a special scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville. He played for the Florida Gators football team from 2002 to 2006. He was a wide receiver, known for catching the ball. He also played on special teams, which are important parts of the game like kickoffs and punts.

In his final year, 2006, Jemalle became a starting wide receiver. He was also chosen as a team captain, showing he was a leader. That year was very special for the Gators! They won the BCS National Championship, which is a huge college football title.

Professional Football Journey

After his successful college career, Jemalle Cornelius signed a contract with the Arizona Cardinals on December 31, 2007. This was his step into professional football. He had also briefly been with the Buffalo Bills and Indianapolis Colts earlier in 2007.
