There, she reported on the New York Yankees baseball team from 2003 to 2006. Jen Royle is also famous as a chef. She has appeared as a contestant on TV cooking shows like ABC's The Taste and Food Network's Beat Bobby Flay.

Early Life and School Days

Jen Royle was born in Mansfield, Massachusetts. Her parents were Francis K. "Frank" Royle and Dianne (Borriello) Royle. She went to Mansfield High School in Mansfield. She finished high school in 1992. Later that year, she started studying at Salve Regina University. She earned her bachelor's degree from the university in 1996.

Sports Reporting Career

Jen Royle began her career in 2003. She was hired by the YES Network as a reporter who worked in the locker rooms. She regularly reported on the New York Yankees baseball team. She stayed with YES Network until 2006. Her very first interview was in a locker room at the old Yankee Stadium. She asked players questions after a game between the Yankees and the Red Sox.

After three years at YES Network, Royle worked for MLB Advanced Media. She covered the New York Yankees from their clubhouse. This included both regular season and postseason games. She also did special one-on-one video interviews. She spoke with many Yankees and other MLB players, managers, and coaches.

In May 2008, she joined XM Satellite Radio. There, she reported on two New York City baseball teams: the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. She left XM Satellite Radio in 2009. A year later, Royle joined MASN. This is a sports network based in Baltimore and Washington D.C. MASN shows games for the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals. After MASN, she moved to WJZ-FM in Baltimore. She became a reporter and radio co-host there. She covered the Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens.
