Jeremy Brockie's Club Career

Starting His Football Journey

Brockie began playing youth football for Richmond Athletic. He started his senior career with Nelson Suburbs in the Mainland Premier League. After that, he played for Canterbury United during the 2004–05 season in the New Zealand Football Championship.

Playing in the A-League

Jeremy was one of the standout players for the New Zealand Knights in their first A-League season. He scored four goals in nine games. His first two goals in the A-League were against Newcastle Jets. He also scored a goal in the last minute against Sydney FC to help the Knights get a draw. His fourth goal came in the final game of the season against Melbourne Victory. Brockie was the joint top goal scorer for the New Zealand Knights that season.

On March 17, 2006, Brockie decided to leave the Knights and join Sydney FC. He signed a two-year contract with them. However, he did not play much for Sydney FC, starting only two games and appearing in seven matches. He was released from his contract early on March 6, 2007, for personal reasons. In July 2007, Jeremy signed with Hawke's Bay in the NZFC. Later, he played for Team Wellington.

In 2009, Brockie joined a new A-League team called North Queensland Fury for the 2009–10 season. He played his first game for the Fury on October 17, 2009. He scored his first goal for them on January 9 against Central Coast Mariners. On March 30, 2010, Brockie signed a two-year contract with the Newcastle Jets.

Time with Wellington Phoenix

On May 14, 2012, it was announced that Jeremy Brockie signed a three-year contract with Wellington Phoenix. This club is based in New Zealand and plays in the A-League. He had a great pre-season, scoring many goals.

He scored his first goal for the Phoenix in their fifth game against Melbourne Victory. He took a shot from outside the box with his left foot, and it went in off the crossbar. He then scored another goal from a fantastic free kick in the same game.

Brockie finished the 2012–13 season with 16 goals in 25 games for the Phoenix. He was the second-highest goal scorer in the A-League that season. This was a highlight for the Phoenix, as they finished last in the league. In the 2013–14 season, Brockie scored 5 goals in 24 games.

Loan to Toronto FC

Brockie was loaned to Major League Soccer club Toronto FC on May 7, 2013. He joined his fellow New Zealander, manager Ryan Nelsen, there. In his third game, Brockie came off the bench and helped Toronto FC score a goal in a 1–1 draw. He scored his first goal for Toronto on July 3, 2013, in a 3–3 draw against Montreal Impact. His loan with Toronto FC ended after their game on August 24, 2013.

Leaving the Phoenix

On December 4, 2014, Brockie signed a contract with SuperSport United F.C. in Pretoria, South Africa. In his last game for the Phoenix, Brockie scored two goals. These goals helped his team win 3–0 against Brisbane Roar.

Playing in South Africa

In September 2019, Brockie moved to Maritzburg United on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns. He played for Maritzburg United during the 2019–20 season. Brockie left Maritzburg United in June 2020.

Jeremy Brockie's International Career

After the 2007–08 season, Brockie moved to Wellington. He trained with most of the New Zealand national under-23 football team to get ready for the 2008 Summer Olympics. He played his winter season with Miramar Rangers. He then stayed in Wellington and signed with Team Wellington for the 2008–09 season.

In January 2006, he was called up for the first time to the All Whites, which is the New Zealand national team. This was for a series of games against Malaysia in February 2006. On February 19, 2006, Brockie made his international debut. He came on as a substitute and played the last twenty minutes of New Zealand's 1–0 win over Malaysia. During the 2006 All Whites tour of Europe, he also played as a substitute against Georgia, Estonia, and Brazil. Brockie also represented New Zealand at the Under-23 and Under-20 levels.

On August 7, 2008, Brockie scored a goal for the New Zealand Under-23 team. This was in a 1–1 draw against China at the Olympic Football Preliminaries. He was chosen to be part of the New Zealand squad for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Jeremy Brockie scored his first goal for the national team on September 9, 2014, against Uzbekistan. This ended a long period of 45 games without a goal for his country.
