Jeremy Kyle (born on July 7, 1965) is a well-known English TV and radio presenter. He became famous for hosting The Jeremy Kyle Show on ITV. This popular talk show ran from 2005 to 2019.
He also hosted an American version of his show. It was called The Jeremy Kyle Show USA. Since 2022, Jeremy has been a presenter for TalkTV.

Early Life and Education
Jeremy Kyle was born in Reading, Berkshire, England. His family has Scottish roots. His father worked as an accountant. He was also a personal secretary to the Queen Mother for many years.
Jeremy went to the Reading Blue Coat School. This is an independent school for boys in Sonning. His first job was at Marks & Spencer, a well-known store. He later studied History and Sociology at the University of Surrey in Guildford.
Career in Broadcasting
Jeremy Kyle has had a long career in both radio and television. He started in sales before moving into broadcasting.
Starting in Radio
From 1986 to 1995, Jeremy worked in sales. He sold life insurance and radio advertising. In 1996, he started his radio career. He worked at stations like Orchard FM and Leicester Sound.
He then joined Invicta FM in Kent. In 1997, he moved to BRMB in Birmingham. There, he hosted shows like Late & Live. In 2000, he started his popular show Jezza's Confessions. This show focused on listeners calling in with their personal stories. He even won a Sony Award for his radio work in 2001.
Jeremy later worked for Virgin Radio and Capital FM. His "Confessions" show format continued to be very popular. He would take live calls about relationship problems.
Moving to Television
In 2005, Jeremy Kyle brought his talk show format to ITV. The show was also called The Jeremy Kyle Show. It became very popular with viewers. The show often featured guests discussing family and relationship issues.
Some people, including a judge, criticized the show. They called it "trash" and said it was just for entertainment. In 2007, Jeremy also hosted Kyle's Academy. This show helped people improve their lives. He also presented Half Ton Hospital, which was about people with extreme obesity.
In 2011, Jeremy hosted Military Driving School. This series followed new recruits learning to drive military vehicles. He also presented the game show High Stakes on ITV.
From 2015 to 2019, he presented The Kyle Files. This was a prime-time show on ITV. He also hosted Jeremy Kyle's Emergency Room. This daytime show helped people with health and personal problems. From 2016 to 2018, Jeremy was a relief presenter for Good Morning Britain.
The Jeremy Kyle Show stopped production in May 2019. This decision came after a review of an episode. In 2021, Jeremy announced his return to radio. He started presenting a show on TalkRadio. In 2022, he returned to television. He now hosts a prime-time show for TalkTV.
Personal Life
Jeremy Kyle has been open about some of his personal challenges. In his 2009 book, I'm Only Being Honest, he shared that he has obsessive–compulsive disorder. This is a condition where people have repeated thoughts or actions.
His first marriage to Kirsty Rowley in 1989 was short. Jeremy has spoken about struggling with a gambling addiction at that time. He later married Carla Germaine in 2002. They had three children together. They separated in 2015 and divorced in 2016. Jeremy also has a daughter from his first marriage.
In 2018, Jeremy got engaged to Vicky Burton. She was his children's former nanny. They got married in October 2021 in Windsor, Berkshire. They have two children together. In 2021, Jeremy also shared that he was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. This happened after The Jeremy Kyle Show ended.
Jeremy Kyle is a big fan of the football team West Ham United.
