Jeremy Shepherd, born on April 8, 1985, is a Canadian former soccer player. He was known for playing as a forward, which means he was usually at the front of the team, trying to score goals.

Playing for Clubs
Starting in Youth Soccer
Jeremy Shepherd started his soccer journey playing for youth teams. He joined the Toronto Lynx Jrs in 2000, which was their first year in the Super Y-League. He also played youth soccer with Dixie Soccer Club. For a while, he even trained in Germany with the Hertha Berlin youth system.
Playing for Oakville
After his time with the Lynx Academy, Jeremy joined the Oakville Blue Devils. This team was part of the Canadian Professional Soccer League. His former coach, Duncan Wilde, was also at Oakville.
Jeremy played his first professional game on September 11, 2005. Just a week later, on September 15, 2005, he scored his first professional goal! He helped the Oakville team reach the playoffs. They even won the CPSL Championship in 2005, beating Vaughan Shooters 2-1 in the final game.
Time with Toronto Lynx
In 2006, Duncan Wilde moved back to the Toronto Lynx team. He signed Jeremy Shepherd to play for the main team in the USL First Division. Jeremy's first game with them was on April 22, 2006.
Unfortunately, on July 16, 2006, Jeremy broke his leg during a game. This injury meant he could not play for the rest of that season. He had played in 13 games for the club before his injury.
Playing in the CSL
After recovering from his leg injury, Jeremy joined the Brampton Lions for the 2008 CSL season. He scored two goals in a game on September 20, ending a two-year period without scoring. He continued to play well, scoring two more goals in a big 6-0 win. These goals helped the Lions get a spot in the playoffs.
Jeremy signed with Brampton again for the 2009 season. He helped the team reach the playoffs once more. He also played for Brampton in the 2011 season, helping them secure another playoff spot.
After four years with Brampton, Jeremy moved to the Brantford Galaxy for the 2012 season. He played his first game for Brantford on May 6, 2012. On June 17, 2012, he scored his first goal for the club, and it was a hat-trick (three goals in one game)!
Later that season, Jeremy left the club for a short time to support his coach, Ron Davidson, who had been dismissed. However, he returned to Brantford to finish the season.
Playing for Canada
Jeremy also represented his country. He played for the Canada men's national under-17 soccer team. His first game for the national team was on April 20, 2001, against the United States. This game was part of the 2001 CONCACAF U-17 Tournament.
