Jericho is a small, unincorporated community located in the town of Brothertown. It is part of Calumet County, Wisconsin, in the United States. An unincorporated community means it's not a city or a town with its own local government. You can find Jericho where County highways C and H meet. It's also part of a special area in Wisconsin known as the Holyland region.
History
Jericho was first settled in 1855. It became an important stop along a "plank road." This was a type of road made from wooden planks, which helped people travel more easily. This plank road connected the communities of Brothertown and Sheboygan. One of the first people to settle in Jericho was J. M. Parkins. He built one of the community's first buildings, which was called Sechter's Inn.
