Jerome Robinson (born February 22, 1997) is an American professional basketball player. He plays as a shooting guard. Currently, he is a player for Saint-Quentin in France. This team is part of the LNB Élite, which is France's top basketball league.

Jerome played college basketball for the Boston College Eagles. After college, he was chosen by the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the 2018 NBA draft. He was the 13th player picked overall.

College Basketball Journey

Jerome Robinson did not start out as a highly-rated high school player. He went to Needham B. Broughton High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. Many big college basketball programs, called Power-5 schools, did not offer him a scholarship.

However, a coach from Boston College, Scott Spinelli, saw his talent. Coach Spinelli is known for finding good players that others might miss. Boston College was the only Power-5 school to offer Jerome a spot.

  • Freshman Year (2015–16): Jerome played well in his first year. He scored about 11.7 points per game. He also grabbed 4 rebounds and made 3 assists per game.
  • Sophomore Year (2016–17): His skills grew even more. He averaged 18.7 points, 4 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.
  • Junior Year (2017–18): This was his best college year. He averaged 20.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. He was named to the First Team All-ACC. This means he was one of the best players in his conference. He also scored a career-high 46 points in one game against Notre Dame.

After his junior year, Jerome decided to enter the 2018 NBA draft. He first kept his option open to return to college. But on April 28, 2018, he hired an agent. This officially ended his college basketball career. Jerome Robinson became the first player from Boston College to be picked in the NBA draft lottery. The draft lottery includes the top 14 picks.
