Jeron Wilson's Early Life
Jeron Wilson grew up in the San Fernando Valley in California, United States. He started skateboarding when he was about nine years old. His cousin first showed him how much fun skateboarding could be!
Jeron often skated with his friends, including Weston Correa and Ethan Fowler. They all rode for a local shop called Blue Alliance Skate Shop in Chatsworth, California. Even though it was a small shop, their team was famous for doing well in skateboarding contests. They often competed in the Powell Quarter Master tournaments, which were held at the Powell Peralta Skate Park in Goleta, California.
By the time Jeron was just 13, people in the valley already knew about his amazing skateboarding skills. He was especially known for his incredible "pop," which means how high he could make his board jump off the ground. Jeron showed amazing control over his skateboard from a young age. He was one of the first skaters to master a trick called the switch 360 flip. This cool trick became one of his signature moves throughout his career!
Becoming a Professional Skateboarder
As Jeron got older, he met professional skateboarder Salman Agah. Salman saw how talented Jeron was and helped him join the Real Skateboards team. Another pro skater, Tim Gavin, also noticed Jeron's skills. Soon after, Jeron became a part of the Blind Skateboards team.
The Blind Skateboards team was one of the best in the business! It had many super talented skaters like Guy Mariano and Henry Sanchez. Jeron first appeared with the Blind team in a video by Plan B Skateboards. This video had a special "friends" section that featured the Blind team.
Later, Jeron was invited to skate for Girl Skateboards, another very popular team. With help from Tim Gavin, Jeron also got a shoe sponsorship with DVS Shoes. This meant DVS would provide him with shoes because he was such a great skater!
The Nine Club Podcast
Today, Jeron Wilson also hosts a popular skateboard podcast called The Nine Club. He hosts it with his friends Chris Roberts and Kelly Hart. On the podcast, they talk about all things skateboarding, sharing stories and insights from the world of pro skating.
