The Story of Jerry's
Jerry's Subs & Pizza began a long time ago in 1954. It started near Washington, D.C.. The company officially became "Jerry's" in 1964. This happened in Wheaton, Maryland. Today, the main office for Jerry's is in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
In 2017, Jerry's tried something new. They opened a special sports bar restaurant. This location was in Hagerstown, Maryland. However, it closed down in July 2019.
Awards and Recognition
Jerry's Subs & Pizza has received several awards. In 2013, Thrillist magazine called it Maryland's most important restaurant chain.
From 2015 to 2018, Pizza Today Magazine listed Jerry's. They were named one of the Top 100 Pizza Companies. The Washington Business Journal also recognized Jerry's. They called it the Largest Locally Owned Restaurant Chain. They also named it a Top Restaurant Chain from 2013 to 2015.
