Jerry W. Baskerville (born November 10, 1951) is a retired American basketball player. He was known for playing as a Small forward.
Jerry Baskerville was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He played college basketball for two different universities. First, he played for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Later, he played for Temple University.
NBA Draft and Professional Career
Jerry Baskerville was chosen by the Boston Celtics in the 1974 NBA draft. This was a special "supplemental" pick.
He later played for the Philadelphia 76ers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played 21 games for the 76ers during the 1975–76 season.
Awards and Recognition
During his career, Jerry Baskerville received an important award. In 1975, he was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Eastern Basketball Association (EBA). This league is now known as the Continental Basketball Association (CBA).
