A Sad Farewell
On June 5, 2015, Jerry Collins and his partner, Alana Madill, passed away. They were in a car accident in southern France. Their three-month-old baby daughter, Ayla, survived the crash. Jerry bravely tried to protect Ayla by shielding her with his body.
Ayla spent a month recovering in the hospital. She was in intensive care and spent two weeks in a coma. In July, it was announced that Ayla would move to Canada to live with the Madill family and continue her treatment there.
