Growing Up and Education
Jessica was born in Empangeni, a town in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Her parents are Jabu Nkosi and Nhlanhlayethu Ntuli. After her parents separated, Jessica moved to Eshowe, another town in KwaZulu-Natal. Sadly, when she was in Grade 11, her father passed away.
Studying at University
Jessica attended the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She first started studying for a law degree. However, she soon realized her passion was in acting. She changed her studies to focus on Drama and Performing Arts. Jessica worked hard and graduated with her degree in 2012.

Jessica began her acting career in 2013. Her first big role was playing Qondisile in the South African TV show Isibaya.
In 2015, she appeared as Eve in another Mzansi Magic show called Ayeye. Later, in 2020, Jessica took on the role of Thando Sebata. This was a main villain character in the very popular South African TV show, The Queen.
Hosting and Presenting
Besides acting, Jessica is also a talented TV presenter. In 2017, she started co-hosting a show called A-List on BET. She hosted it alongside her Isibaya co-star, Nomzamo Mabtha.
Jessica has also appeared at many big events. She has been seen at the Channel O Music Video Awards and the MTV Africa Music Awards. She also featured on shows like V-Entertainment and MTV's Lip Sync Battle Africa, where she was a celebrity guest.
She first appeared as a guest presenter on the show Our Perfect Wedding. She did such a great job that she later became the main host for the next season. In 2024, Jessica was a contestant on the South African version of The Masked Singer. She performed as "Ice Cream" and was revealed on May 27, 2024.

In September 2018, Jessica Nkosi and her partner, Ntokozo Dlamini, welcomed their daughter. Ntokozo Dlamini is an actor known for his role in the show Uzalo. Their daughter's name is Namisa Dlamini.
