Jesús Iglesias's Early Racing Career
Jesús Iglesias began his racing journey in Argentina. He was quite successful in long-distance races. He often drove a special car called a Chevrolet Special. These races were very challenging and tested the endurance of both the driver and the car.
His Big Chance in Formula One
In 1955, Jesús Iglesias got an exciting invitation. He was asked to drive a Gordini Type 16 car. This was for the 1955 Argentine Grand Prix, a very important Formula One race.

The 1955 Argentine Grand Prix was a tough race. Jesús Iglesias started in 17th place out of 22 drivers. The weather was extremely hot, which made racing very difficult. Sadly, he had to stop racing on lap 38. This was because of a problem with his car's transmission. He was also very tired from the intense heat.
Returning to Endurance Racing
