The Jet Aircraft Museum is a super cool place in London, Ontario, Canada, where you can see amazing jet airplanes! It's a special museum that focuses on jet aircraft used by the Canadian Forces. This museum first opened its doors on September 12, 2009. It is located at the London International Airport.

What the Museum Does

The Jet Aircraft Museum has an important job. Their main goal is to find, keep, fix, show, and even fly jet airplanes that were part of the Canadian Forces. They want to collect jets from older models, like the DeHavilland Vampire, all the way up to modern and future aircraft.

The museum also hopes to keep at least four of each type of jet in flying condition. They want these planes to look just like they did when they served in the Canadian Forces. Some of the jets they hope to get include the CF-100 Canuck, Canadair Sabre, F2H-3 Banshee, CF-101 Voodoo, CF-104 Starfighter, CF-5 Freedom Fighter, and CT-114 Tutor.

Airplanes You Can See

The museum owns several exciting jet aircraft. These are some of the planes you might find there:

  • BAC Jet Provost - 1 plane
  • Canadair CT-133 Silver Star - 6 planes. These were once used by the Canadian Forces and were bought by the museum in 2008.
  • McDonnell CF-101 Voodoo - 1 plane
  • Hawker Hunter - 1 plane

In January 2019, the museum was working hard to raise money. They wanted to buy a Canadair CT-114 Tutor jet. Their plan was to fix it up and make it look new again.
