Beverly Jo Morrow (born November 1, 1939) is an American actress. She appeared in many films and television shows between 1958 and 1976. Jo Morrow often played the main female character in smaller movies. She also had supporting roles in bigger films and appeared in several TV episodes.

Early Life and Beginnings

Jo Morrow was born in a town called Cuero, Texas. When she was younger, she won the "Miss Pasadena" title in California in 1958. This allowed her to represent Pasadena in the "Miss California" contest that same year.

Acting Career Highlights

Jo Morrow started her film career in 1958 after winning a "Be a Star" contest. This led to a movie contract with a big studio called 20th Century Fox. Her first film was Ten North Frederick, where she appeared with famous actor Gary Cooper.

After making just one movie with 20th Century Fox, she moved to another studio, Columbia Pictures. At Columbia, she made about 10 films and appeared in a dozen TV show episodes between 1958 and 1963. One of her most well-known roles was in the movie Our Man in Havana. In this film, she played Milly Wormold, the daughter of a character played by Alec Guinness.

In 1962, Jo Morrow also appeared in a TV Western series called Lawman. She played a character named Melanie Wells in an episode titled "The Bride."

Personal Life and Later Career

On June 30, 1963, Jo Morrow married Jack Barnett, who was a songwriter for Jimmy Durante. After getting married, she decided to take a break from acting to focus on her family. Her daughter, Dawn, was born in 1964 and was deaf, so Jo wanted to care for her. Her son, James, was born two years later.

She returned to acting briefly in the 1970s, taking on a few minor supporting roles in films and TV shows. She then retired from acting again in 1976.
