Jodelle Micah Ferland (born October 9, 1994) is a talented actress from Canada. She started acting when she was very young, at just six years old. Her first big role was in a TV movie called Mermaid in 2000. For this role, she won a Young Artist Award and was even nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award, making her the youngest person ever nominated for that award at the time!

Jodelle has appeared in many different types of movies and TV shows. These include the TV movie Carrie (2002), and the horror films They (2002), Tideland (2005), Silent Hill (2006), and Case 39 (2009). She also starred in the comedy movie Good Luck Chuck (2007). Jodelle also had a main role in the TV series Kingdom Hospital (2004).

In the 2010s, Jodelle continued to act in popular films like the romantic fantasy movie The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010). She also appeared in the horror films The Cabin in the Woods (2011) and The Tall Man (2012). From 2015 to 2017, she was a main character in the TV series Dark Matter, which earned her another award nomination.

Jodelle Micah Ferland was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, on October 9, 1994. Her parents are Valerie and Marc Ferland.

She began her acting journey even before she was six! Jodelle started appearing in commercials when she was only two years old. Her first acting role was in the TV movie Mermaid in 2000. Her performance in Mermaid was very impressive. It led to her being nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award. This made her the youngest person ever to be nominated for that award.

Becoming a Young Star

After her success in Mermaid, Jodelle started getting many guest roles on popular TV shows. She appeared in series like Stargate Atlantis, Dark Angel, Stargate SG-1, Smallville, and Supernatural. She also acted in movies such as They and Trapped.

In 2005, Jodelle starred in the drama film Tideland, directed by Terry Gilliam. For her work in Tideland, she was nominated for a Genie Award for Best Actress. The next year, she appeared in the 2006 film Silent Hill, which was based on a famous video game. She also had a supporting role in the comedy movie Good Luck Chuck.

In 2006, Jodelle was cast alongside actress Renée Zellweger in the horror movie Case 39. She played the character Lillith Sullivan. The movie was released in 2009.

In 2010, Jodelle played the character Bree Tanner in Eclipse. This was the third movie in the very popular Twilight series. Jodelle was very excited about this role. She even said that she didn't need to read the script first because it was Twilight!

From 2010 to 2011, Jodelle also lent her voice to the video game BioShock 2. She appeared in the SyFy channel movie Ice Quake and the Lifetime TV movie Girl Fight.

In 2012, Jodelle was busy with several films. She appeared in the drama Mighty Fine and the horror film The Tall Man. She also acted in Joss Whedon's movie The Cabin in the Woods. That same year, she had her first main role in a comedy film, Home Alone: The Holiday Heist. Jodelle also had a leading voice role in the stop-motion animated film ParaNorman, which was nominated for an Academy Award.

From 2013 to 2014, she starred in the family film Midnight Stallion. She also appeared in the short film Monster and the crime drama A Warden's Ransom. In 2015, she was in the short film The Goodbye Girl and the horror film The Unspoken.

From 2015 to 2017, Jodelle played the character Five in the SyFy series Dark Matter. This show was based on a comic book series. Jodelle enjoyed her role and even joked that even though she was the youngest cast member, she had been acting the longest! For her performance in Dark Matter, she was nominated for a Saturn Award in 2016. In 2017, she appeared in the comedy Bigger Fatter Liar and the horror film Neverknock.

In 2018, Jodelle appeared in an episode of Frankie Drake Mysteries. She also starred as Olive in the digital series Darken: Before the Dark. This series was a prequel to the film Darken. Jodelle was also set to appear in a short film called Women Seen, directed by Amanda Tapping. In 2019, Jodelle was cast in the film Office Games as Tina, which was released in 2022.
