Early Songwriting
Jodie Aysha started writing songs when she was quite young. She wrote the song "Heartbroken" when she was just 14 years old. She wrote it to support her older sister, who was going through a tough time.
The Hit Song "Heartbroken"
When Jodie was 18, a music producer named T2 took her song "Heartbroken" and created a new version of it. This new version became very popular! It reached number 2 on the UK Singles Chart, which is a list of the most popular songs in the United Kingdom.
The song stayed at number 2 for three weeks. It was only kept from the very top spot by a song from Leona Lewis, who had won a big TV music show called X Factor. "Heartbroken" was one of the top 40 songs for 14 weeks, showing how much people loved it.
Other Songs
After "Heartbroken," Jodie Aysha continued to make music. In 2009, she released another song called "Yes I Will." She also released an EP (which is like a mini-album with a few songs) in 2011 called UK Refixxxs EP. In 2012, she released "It's Over (Can't Get My Love)" with Bassmonkeys.
