Sadly, Joe missed his junior year of college basketball. He tore his Achilles tendon during one of the first practices. This was a tough injury for him.
When he returned, Joe played really well. As a redshirt junior, he scored about 17.2 points per game. He also made 3.3 assists per game. He was so good that he was named to the First-team All-CAA.
In his senior year, Joe continued to shine. He was one of the top scorers in his conference. He averaged 18.0 points and 3.7 assists per game. For the second year in a row, he was named to the First-team All-CAA.
Joe had an amazing game where he scored 32 points. This helped his team win a big championship game. That win sent his team to the NCAA Tournament. Joe was also named to the CAA All-Tournament team twice. During his college career, Joe averaged 14.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game.
