Many people call her the "Queen of Idol Dramas." She is well-known for her roles in popular TV shows like The Prince Who Turns into a Frog (2005) and Fated to Love You (2008). She was even nominated for an award for her acting in Fated to Love You.
In 2013, Joe Chen became very popular in mainland China. This happened after she played the character Dongfang Bubai in the Chinese action series Swordsman.
