Joe Devance: A Basketball Star
Joe Devance had a long and successful career in the PBA. He was a versatile player, meaning he could do many things well on the court. He was good at scoring from outside and also close to the basket.
Early Career and First Teams
Joe Devance played college basketball at the University of Texas, El Paso from 2001 to 2004. After college, he joined the PBA.
Starting with Welcoat Dragons
In 2007, Joe Devance was the very first player chosen in the 2007 PBA draft. He was picked by the new team, Welcoat Dragons. Even though he played, he didn't get to show all his talents right away. He played as a center for the team.
Playing for the Alaska Aces
After one season, Joe was traded to the Alaska Aces. This was a big move for him. He became known as a strong scorer and a threat near the basket. He helped the Aces reach the finals three times. In 2010, he won his first championship with them in the Fiesta Conference.
Joe played three seasons with the Alaska Aces. He later wanted to explore other opportunities. So, Alaska traded him to the Air21 Express.

Finishing Strong with Barangay Ginebra
In 2015, Joe Devance was traded again. This time, he joined the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. This trade was part of a big deal involving four different teams.
Reuniting with Coach Tim Cone
