Joe Stephens (born January 28, 1973) is an American who used to play professional basketball. He is now an elected Justice of the Peace for Harris County Precinct 3, Place 1 in Texas. He played in the NBA for a short time in the late 1990s. He also had a six-year career playing professional basketball in Europe.

Early Life and College Basketball
Joe Stephens was born in Riverside, California. As a basketball player, he was 6 feet 7 inches tall and weighed 210 pounds. He played as a small forward or power forward.
He played college basketball at two universities. First, he played for the University of Colorado. Later, he played for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Professional Basketball Career
After playing basketball professionally in Argentina, Joe Stephens joined the Houston Rockets. He signed a special 10-day contract with them in 1997. He played for the Houston Rockets during parts of two different seasons.
In 1999, he also played for the Vancouver Grizzlies. He had a brief time with the Utah Jazz, another NBA team. He also played professionally in Europe for six years.
