Johan Lolos (born in 1987) is a photographer from Belgium and Greece. He is famous for taking amazing pictures of places he visits and beautiful landscapes. Early Life and Education
Johan Lolos studied Public Relations at a school called the Institut des Hautes Études des Communications Sociales (IHECS) in Brussels. He finished his studies in 2013.
Photography Career
After school, Johan went on a big adventure! He traveled for two years through Australia and New Zealand. During this trip, he got really good at taking pictures of nature and landscapes.
Becoming a Social Media Star
His photos became very popular on social media, especially on Instagram. This is where he shares his pictures using the name lebackpacker. In 2018, Johan published his first book, Peaks of Europe. This book showed off photos from a five-month road trip he took across 17 different countries in Europe. The book was released in four different languages.
Working with Big Brands
Johan Lolos has worked with many well-known companies like Toyota, Samsung, and Nikon. He has also helped a group called Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) with his photography. Johan also teaches workshops and mentors other photographers, sharing his skills and knowledge.
His amazing work has been featured in famous magazines and travel guides. You might have seen his photos in National Geographic, GQ, and Lonely Planet. In 2023, a Belgian magazine called Le Vif included Johan Lolos on their "40 Under 40" list. This list highlights 40 important Belgian people to watch who are under 40 years old.
