About Johannes Brost
His Early Life and Dreams
Johannes Brost was born in Stockholm, Sweden, on September 25, 1946. His mother, Gudrun Brost, was a famous film and theater actor. His father, Sven Forssell, was an author and journalist. Johannes also had a half-brother, Tomas Forssell, who was a musician and actor.
When he was a child, Johannes didn't want to be an actor like his mother. He sometimes went with her to work, but he wasn't sure about acting himself. Later, he changed his mind and decided to try acting.
Johannes applied to a famous drama school called the Royal Dramatic Theatre. He didn't get in on his first try. So, he took private acting lessons to improve his skills. After that, he successfully got into the Teaterhögskolan in Malmö. He finished his studies there in 1970.
After graduating, Johannes worked at the Stockholm City Theatre for two years. He also acted in theaters in Finland and with the National Swedish Touring Theatre. He performed in many different plays and shows.

He also acted in several movies. Some of his film roles were in Black Jack, Änglagård, and The Visitors.
