John Bliss had a long and interesting acting career. He played Mr. Pickering in the TV series Andy Richter Controls the Universe. He also guest-starred as a character named Emile in an episode of Get Smart called "Bronzefinger."

One time, John worked with the famous actor George Clooney. John remembered how polite George was. George always called him "Mr. Bliss" and offered him food on the movie set. They were filming Intolerable Cruelty together.
