John Aġnaqłuk Lincoln, born on December 17, 1981, is an American politician. He represented the 40th district in the Alaska House of Representatives from 2018 to 2021. He was first chosen by the governor and later won an election to serve a full term.

Early Life and Education
John Aġnaqłuk Lincoln was born in Kotzebue, Alaska, on December 17, 1981. He is a member of the Iñupiat people, who are a group of Alaska Natives.
High School and College Years
John was a top student at Kotzebue High School, graduating in 1999. He then went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Stanford University.
Working Before Politics
Before becoming a politician, John Lincoln worked for 15 years in information technology. This involved managing computer systems and networks in Northwestern Alaska.
Business Leadership Role
Later, he moved into business leadership. He served as the Vice President of Business Development for NANA Regional Corporation. This company works to support the Iñupiat people and their communities.
Serving in the Alaska House of Representatives
John Lincoln was chosen by Governor Bill Walker to join the Alaska House of Representatives. He took the place of Dean Westlake.
Becoming a Representative
When Governor Walker chose John, he said that John was the best person to lead at an important time for Alaska. John's main ideas for government were generally in the middle, leaning a bit to the left. In 2019, he decided to become an independent politician. However, he continued to work closely with the Democratic Party group in the House.
