John Templeton, Jr. facts for kids
John Marks "Jack'" Templeton, Jr. (February 19, 1940 – May 16, 2015) was an American medical doctor. He served as the Chairman and President of the John Templeton Foundation until his death. He was a Republican.
Templeton was born in New York City. He was the elder son of Judith (Folk) and the American-born British stock investor, businessman and philanthropist John Templeton. He studied at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut and at Harvard Medical School. He was married to Josephine and had three daughters.
Templeton died from cancer on May 16, 2015 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, aged 75.
