Other Important Writings

Baker also wrote other books. One was called Considerations upon the Exportation of Corn. He wrote this book because the Dublin Society asked him to. It was published in Dublin in 1771. Another book, published in 1767, was A Short Description and List, with the Prices, of the Instruments of Husbandry made in the Factory at Laughlinstown. This book listed the tools made at his factory and their prices.

Wynn's Field Today

Today, the place known as Wynn's Field is where the Celbridge Elm Hall Golf Club is located. You can still see some of the old field shapes and hedge lines around the golf course. The original walls of John Wynn Baker's factory are also still standing. They now surround the orchards and putting green at the golf club.
