Johnny Harold "Sky" High (born April 25, 1957 – died June 13, 1987) was an American professional basketball player. He was known for playing as a Shooting guard for the Phoenix Suns in the NBA. Johnny High played four seasons with the Suns. He was a very consistent player, missing only one game in his first three years with the team.

Early Life and College Basketball
Johnny High was born in Birmingham, Alabama. He went to Jones Valley High School in Birmingham. After high school, he continued his basketball journey in college. He played college basketball at Lawson State Community College from 1975 to 1977. Later, he played for the University of Nevada from 1977 to 1979. While playing for Nevada, he achieved a "triple-double" in a game. This is a rare feat where a player gets double-digit numbers in three different stats, like points, rebounds, and assists. As of February 2018, he was the last Nevada Wolf Pack player to do this.
Professional Career with the Phoenix Suns
Johnny High was chosen by the Phoenix Suns in the second round of the 1979 NBA draft. He was the 24th player picked overall. He quickly became an important part of the Suns team. During an NBA game on January 28, 1981, against the Washington Bullets, Johnny High showed off his defensive skills. He recorded nine steals in that single game. This is a very high number of steals for one game! He played for the Phoenix Suns from 1979 to 1983.
Legacy
Johnny High passed away on June 13, 1987, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was involved in an early-morning automobile accident. He is remembered for his time as a professional basketball player and his achievements on the court.
