John Dotson Lee Jr. (born July 4, 1898 – died December 12, 1965) was an American actor, singer, and dancer. He was best known for two famous roles. He was the voice of Br'er Rabbit in Disney's movie Song of the South (1946). He also played a funny, tricky lawyer named Algonquin J. Calhoun in the TV and radio show Amos 'n' Andy in the early 1950s.
Johnny Lee's acting as Calhoun was a big hit. People loved his funny way of speaking and acting. He spent much of his career performing in vaudeville shows. These were popular stage shows with different acts like singing, dancing, and comedy. He also worked in movies, made music recordings, and appeared on television.
In 1949, he released a song called "You Can't Lose A Broken Heart." He also starred in a musical comedy called "Sugar Hill" that same year. Johnny Lee passed away on December 12, 1965, when he was 67 years old.
