Johnny Lee O'Bryant III (born June 1, 1993) is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for the Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters in the Korean Basketball League (KBL). Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for Louisiana State University.

Early Life and College Basketball
Johnny O'Bryant III showed great talent in basketball from a young age. He became a well-known player during his high school and college years.
High School Achievements
Experts at ESPN.com thought Johnny was a top player. In 2011, they rated him as the 7th best power forward in the whole country. He was also ranked as the 46th best player overall.
College Highlights
Johnny played college basketball for three years at Louisiana State University. He was one of only 14 LSU players to score over 1,000 points and get over 700 rebounds in his college career. This shows how important he was to his team. He was also chosen twice for the First-team All-SEC, which is a big honor. On April 1, 2014, he decided to enter the NBA draft. This meant he would not play his final year of college basketball.

Johnny began his professional career in the NBA.
Milwaukee Bucks (2014–2016)
On June 26, 2014, the Milwaukee Bucks picked Johnny O'Bryant as the 36th player in the 2014 NBA draft. He signed with the Bucks on July 30, 2014. During the Summer League, he scored about 8.2 points per game. In October, he hurt his right knee and missed the first 25 games of the season. He played his first game for the Bucks on December 17. On December 26, he scored his highest points of the season, with 12 points, in a win against the Atlanta Hawks. On November 11, 2015, he had a great game with 11 points and 9 rebounds. The Bucks decided to let him go on June 29, 2016. After that, he briefly signed with the Washington Wizards but was later waived.
Northern Arizona Suns (2016–2017)
On November 11, 2016, Johnny joined the Northern Arizona Suns. This team is part of the NBA Development League, which is now called the G League. In his first game, he scored 18 points and got 12 rebounds. He was even named the NBA Development League Performer of the Week in January 2017.
Denver Nuggets (2017)
Johnny signed a short 10-day contract with the Denver Nuggets on January 26, 2017. He signed a second 10-day contract with them in February.
Return to Northern Arizona (2017)
After his contracts with the Nuggets ended, Johnny went back to the Northern Arizona Suns. He even played in the NBA D-League All-Star Game.
Charlotte Hornets (2017–2018)
On February 24, 2017, Johnny signed a 10-day contract with the Charlotte Hornets. He scored a career-high 15 points in a game on March 4, 2017. He then signed a second 10-day contract and later a multi-year contract with the Hornets. On February 7, 2018, he was traded to the New York Knicks but was waived by them the next day.
Playing Overseas
After his time in the NBA, Johnny O'Bryant played for many teams outside the United States.
Maccabi Tel Aviv (2018–2019)
On July 31, 2018, Johnny signed a one-year deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv, a team in Israel. They play in the EuroLeague, which is a top European basketball league. On December 27, 2018, Johnny had an amazing game. He scored a career-high 32 points and was named the EuroLeague Round 15 MVP. He helped Maccabi win the 2019 Israeli League Championship.
Lokomotiv Kuban (2019–2020)
Johnny signed with Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia on August 14, 2019. He played very well, averaging 16.4 points per game. He signed again with the team in July 2020 but left in September due to a family matter.
Crvena zvezda (2020–2021)
On October 19, 2020, Johnny joined Crvena Zvezda, a team in Serbia. They also play in the EuroLeague. In January 2021, he had a disagreement with the team's coach and was suspended for 10 days. The team later decided to part ways with him in February.
Türk Telekom (2021)
After leaving Crvena zvezda, Johnny signed with Türk Telekom in Turkey on February 21, 2021. He played for them for the rest of the season. In September 2021, the Milwaukee Bucks signed him for training camp, but he did not make their final team roster.
Wonju DB Promy (2021–2022)
On November 15, 2021, Johnny signed with the Wonju DB Promy in the Korean Basketball League. He first joined for eight weeks and then re-signed for the rest of the season in January 2022.
Meralco Bolts (2022)
In August 2022, Johnny signed with the Meralco Bolts in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was their "import" player for a tournament. He was supposed to be replaced at one point, but he stayed with the team. He was eventually replaced by another player in October.
Shanghai Sharks (2022–2023)
In October 2022, Johnny signed with the Shanghai Sharks in the Chinese Basketball Association.
Ibaraki Robots (2023–2024)
On November 15, 2023, Johnny signed with the Ibaraki Robots in Japan's B.League. His contract ended on April 9, 2024.
Gigantes de Carolina (2024)
On July 12, 2024, Johnny signed with the Gigantes de Carolina in Puerto Rico.
Uralmash Yekaterinburg (2024–2025)
On September 23, 2024, Johnny signed with Uralmash Yekaterinburg in Russia. He left the team on January 9, 2025.
Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters (2025–present)
On January 13, 2025, Johnny signed with his current team, the Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters in the Korean Basketball League (KBL).
