Johnny Powless was born on March 15, 1993, in Six Nations, Ontario. He is a professional lacrosse player from the Iroquois nation. Johnny is known for his amazing start to his career. He won three championships in a row with his first team! He also won two Mann Cups, which are big awards in Canadian lacrosse.
Today, Johnny plays for the Toronto Rock in the National Lacrosse League. He also plays for the Oakville Rock in Major Series Lacrosse.

Johnny's Amazing Lacrosse Journey
Johnny Powless started his professional lacrosse journey in a big way. In 2011, when he was just 18 years old, the Rochester Knighthawks team picked him. He was the 5th player chosen in the NLL draft that year. This meant many teams wanted him!
Winning Championships Early
Johnny joined the Knighthawks for the 2012 season. In his very first year, his team won the NLL Championship! This is a huge achievement for any player. But Johnny didn't stop there. The Knighthawks kept winning. They won the NLL Championship again in the 2013 season. Then, they won it a third time in the 2014 season!
This meant Johnny Powless had won three NLL titles by the time he was only 21 years old. This is a very rare and impressive feat in professional sports.
Playing for Many Teams
After his time with the Knighthawks, Johnny played for several other NLL teams. He played for the Vancouver Stealth, the Minnesota Swarm, and the Georgia Swarm. He also played for the New England Black Wolves. Each time, he brought his skills and experience to help his new teammates.
In 2019, Johnny joined the Toronto Rock. He continues to be an important player in the league.
