Jojo Chintoh, born around 1944, is a well-known television journalist from Ghana and Canada. He worked as a special reporter and made documentaries for Citytv in Toronto until about 2009 or 2010.

Discovering Jojo Chintoh's Journey
Jojo Chintoh was born in Ghana, a country in West Africa. He is a member of the Fante people. In 1969, he moved to Canada. Before coming to Canada, Jojo worked as a director and producer for television shows.
Starting a Career in Journalism
Jojo Chintoh began his journalism career in Canada in 1972. He was one of only thirteen people chosen for a special training program at the Toronto Star newspaper. More than 2,000 people applied for these spots!
After this, he became an editor for several newspapers. One of these was called Contrast.
Joining Citytv and Making a Difference
In 1978, Jojo Chintoh joined Citytv. At that time, the station's boss, Moses Znaimer, wanted the people on TV to look more like the diverse population of Toronto. Jojo Chintoh became the first Black reporter at the station. In the early 1990s, he often reported on crime stories for Citytv.
Awards and Recognition
Jojo Chintoh has received several awards for his excellent work.
- In 1985, he won a CanPro award. He was also nominated for a Gemini award for his series called Down and Out in Parkdale.
- In 1984, he received the Sovereign Award from the Canadian Racing Community. This was for his series titled Quest for the Plate.
Jojo Chintoh's Personal Life
Jojo Chintoh is married to Ama deGraft-Johnson. She used to be an anesthetist, which is a doctor who gives medicine to make people sleep during surgery. She worked in Hamilton, Ontario for more than 30 years.

Jojo Chintoh has shared his opinions on politics.
- During the 2014 Toronto mayoral election, he supported John Tory for mayor. John Tory had been a leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario.
- In 2014, Jojo also supported Adam Vaughan. Adam Vaughan was a candidate for the Liberal Party of Canada to become a Member of Parliament for Trinity-Spadina.
