Jolly Roger Amusement Park is a super fun place in Ocean City, Maryland. It's actually two parks in one town! One part is right on the Ocean City boardwalk, near the pier. The other is a bit further up, on 30th Street.

Both parks have lots of exciting rides. You can find a looping roller coaster at the pier. There are also bumper cars, a ferris wheel, and a carousel. Plus, there are rides just for younger kids. The parks also have classic carnival-style games and yummy food. The 30th Street location has even more to offer. It features two mini-golf courses. It also has Splash Mountain, which is a big water park with many slides. And don't forget the 10 go-kart tracks!

Park History

Jolly Roger Amusement Park first opened its doors in 1964. Charles "Buddy" Jenkins worked with famous golfer Arnold Palmer to start it. It began as the Arnold Palmer Putting Course and Driving Range. This was located on 30th Street.

The next year, 10 rides were added to the park. Later, in 1974, Jolly Roger bought the pier location. This helped the park grow even bigger!

Splash Mountain Water Park

Splash Mountain is Jolly Roger's exciting waterpark. It's located at the 30th Street park. This waterpark has many cool attractions for everyone!

  • Eye of the Hurricane - This is one of the park's most popular rides. Riders slide down a steep slide. Then they spin around in a giant funnel! Finally, they splash out into the lazy river.
  • Master Blaster - Imagine a roller coaster, but it's a waterslide! Riders go up and down through turns. You ride in tubes on this thrilling slide.
  • The Stealth - This slide is like a giant half-pipe. Tubes travel down a steep slope. Then they go up the opposite side several times. It's a real rush!
  • Six-Lane Super Racer - Challenge your friends on this ride! Guests race each other down six parallel slides. You slide head-first on mats.
  • The Rainforest - This is a fun play area. It has many paths with sprayers and water features. These lead to different slides. There's also a huge pirate head that dumps water every few minutes!
  • Black Hole Slides - Get ready for a dark adventure! Riders slide down three slides. Some parts are dark, and some are completely enclosed. They have different levels of excitement.
  • Wave Pool - This is a classic pool with waves! You can swim and play in the moving water. If you are under 60 inches tall, you need to wear a life jacket. Staff members watch carefully to keep everyone safe.
  • Lazy River - The park's lazy river winds all through the waterpark. It's a relaxing ride in a tube. Many of the park's most popular slides end here.

SpeedWorld Go-Karts

SpeedWorld is the place for go-kart racing at Jolly Roger. It has 10 different race tracks. These tracks are made for different skill levels. So, whether you're a beginner or an expert, there's a track for you!

SpeedWorld also has a new Zip line and adventure course. This exciting course is located high above the go-kart tracks. It's a great way to see the park from above!
