Jonathan Jacob Walker (born September 17, 1985) is an American musician. He is also a singer, songwriter, and record producer. Jon was the bassist for the band Panic! at the Disco. Later, he helped start another band called The Young Veins. He formed this band with Ryan Ross, who was also from Panic! at the Disco. The Young Veins is currently taking a long break. Jon now mostly writes songs and produces music for other artists. He has also released many of his own songs.

Jon Walker's Music Journey
Early Career and Joining Panic! at the Disco
Jon Walker went to Bartlett High School in Illinois. He first became known in the music scene in Chicago when he was just 17 years old. This was in 2003. He played bass for a band called 504 Plan.
After that, Jon toured with the band The Academy Is.... He worked as a guitar technician and also filmed videos for them. In May 2006, Jon joined the popular band Panic! at the Disco. He took the place of their old bass player, Brent Wilson. Jon was 20 years old when he joined. This made him the oldest member of the band at that time.
Jon was with Panic! at the Disco when they won a big award. They won "Video of the Year" at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. This was for their famous song "I Write Sins Not Tragedies". He helped write and release one studio album with the band. It was called Pretty. Odd.. They also released a live album, ...Live in Chicago.
Forming The Young Veins and Solo Work
In July 2009, Jon and his bandmate Ryan Ross left Panic! at the Disco. They said they had different ideas about music. So, they started a new band together called The Young Veins.
The Young Veins went on two tours in 2010. One tour was with Foxy Shazam, and the other was with Rooney. On December 10, 2010, Jon announced on Twitter that The Young Veins would take a break. He later explained that the same creative differences from Panic! at the Disco carried over to this new band.
Since 2011, Jon has released many of his own songs. He has put out 3 full albums and 4 shorter albums called EPs. You can download all of them for free from his official Bandcamp page. He also released a song called "When Push Comes to Shove" in 2016. He sang on it with Victoria Asher, who used to be in the band Cobra Starship.
In July 2018, a short film called Intermission came out. Jon wrote all the music for this film. He is still active on social media today. He uses apps like Twitter (X) and Instagram to connect with fans. Jon continues to make music as a solo artist. His most recent song is called "EVERYTHING."
