Jonathan Alexander Krause, born on January 18, 1992, is an American football coach and former player. He used to play as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). Today, he works as an offensive assistant for the Miami Dolphins. Jonathan went to South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, Georgia. He then played college football at Vanderbilt University. During his professional career, he played for several NFL teams. These teams include the Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Tennessee Titans.

College Football Journey
Jonathan Krause was a key player for the Vanderbilt Commodores football team. He was part of Coach Bobby Johnson's last group of new players. Jonathan was very good at playing different positions on offense.
Impressive College Stats
By the end of his college career, Jonathan had caught the ball 98 times. He gained a total of 1,197 yards from these catches. He also scored two touchdowns by running with the ball.
Senior Year Success
In his final year at Vanderbilt, Jonathan had his best season. He played a big role in the team's receiving group. He started 11 out of 13 games as a wide receiver. He set new personal records for catches (42), receiving yards (714), and touchdowns (3). In a thrilling game against Tennessee, he made two important catches. These catches helped his team win the game right at the end. Jonathan was one of the top receivers in the SEC. He averaged almost 65 receiving yards per game.
Special Teams Star
Jonathan also helped his team by returning punts. He was the main punt returner for most of his time at Vanderbilt. In 2012, he scored two touchdowns from punt returns. One of these was an amazing 83-yard return against Wake Forest.

Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns signed Jonathan to their practice squad in May 2014. He trained with the team for a few months. However, he was released from their practice squad in August 2014.
New England Patriots
In October 2014, the New England Patriots added Jonathan to their practice squad. While with the Patriots, Jonathan was part of a huge win. His team won Super Bowl XLIX! They beat the Seattle Seahawks with a score of 28-24. He was released from the Patriots' practice squad in August 2015.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles signed Jonathan to their practice squad in September 2015. Later that year, in November, the Eagles moved him to their main 53-player roster. This meant he was officially part of the active team.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (First Time)
Jonathan then signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, he was released by the team in September 2016. This happened during the final cuts before the regular season started.
San Diego Chargers
Shortly after, in September 2016, Jonathan joined the San Diego Chargers' practice squad. He stayed with them for a few weeks before being released again later that month.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Second Time)

Tennessee Titans
