Jorge Salinas Pérez (born July 27, 1968) is a well-known Mexican actor. He is famous for playing the main characters in many popular TV shows called telenovelas.

Becoming an Actor
Jorge Salinas started his journey in acting by joining the Centro de Educación Artística (CEA) in 1990. This is a special school for actors. After he finished his studies, he got his first chance to act in a telenovela called Valeria y Maximiliano.
Early TV Roles
After his first show, Jorge appeared in several other telenovelas. These included El abuelo y yo in 1991 and Mágica juventud in 1992. He also acted in Dos mujeres, un camino (1993) and María Isabel (1997). These roles helped him gain experience and become more known.
Big Screen Appearances
Besides TV, Jorge Salinas also acted in movies. In 1999, he was part of the main cast in a film called Sexo, pudor y lágrimas. The next year, in 2000, he appeared in the movie Amores perros.
Leading Roles in Telenovelas
Jorge Salinas became very popular for his leading roles. He starred in Tres mujeres (1999) and Mi Destino Eres Tú (2000). He also played main characters in Las Vías del Amor (2002) and Mariana de la Noche (2003). Another important role was in La esposa virgen in 2005.

In 2008, Jorge was one of the main actors in the very successful telenovela Fuego en la sangre. He worked alongside other famous actors like Adela Noriega and Eduardo Yáñez in this show. In 2011, he took on the lead role of Rogelio Montero Baez in La que no podia amar.
Recent Projects
In 2012, Jorge Salinas starred in Qué bonito amor. This show was a new version of a Colombian telenovela. In 2014, he played the main character, Fernando Lascurain Borbolla, in Mi corazon es tuyo (which means My Heart is Yours). This show was very popular and won an award for the best telenovela of the year.
Jorge also performs in theater. In 2017, he acted with César Évora in a play called Variaciones Enigmáticas. More recently, in 2019, he starred in "Un Poquito Tuyo" and in 2020, he was in "Te Doy La Vida". He continues to act in new TV shows, with recent roles in "S.O.S me estoy enamorando" (2021–2022), "Perdona nuestros pecados" (2023), and "El ángel de Aurora" (2024).
Family Life
Jorge Salinas has a family with children. He has a daughter named Gabriella, who was born in September 1995. He also has twin sons, Santiago and Jorge Emilio, born in 2005.
In October 2011, Jorge Salinas married actress Elizabeth Álvarez. They had worked together on several TV shows. On December 2, 2015, they welcomed their own twins, a daughter named Máxima and a son named León.
Awards and Recognition
Throughout his career, Jorge Salinas has been recognized for his acting talent. He has won and been nominated for several awards, especially for his lead roles in telenovelas. For example, he won the Best Lead Actor award at the TVyNovelas Awards in 2000 for his work in Tres mujeres. He also won an award for Best Lead Actor in 2012 for La que no podia amar.
