Jorge Alejandro Villavicencio Álvarez (born in 1958 – died on 20 July 2020) was a doctor and politician from Guatemala. He served as the Minister of Public Health and Social Assistance. This important role meant he was in charge of health and social care for the whole country.
He held this position from May 2, 2012, to September 24, 2014. This was during the time when Otto Pérez Molina was the president of Guatemala. Later, he faced questions about how some projects were managed during his time as minister.
Jorge Villavicencio passed away on July 20, 2020, at the age of 62. He died from COVID-19 in a hospital in Guatemala City during the COVID-19 pandemic in Guatemala.
