Jory John is an American author who writes fun books for kids. He is known for using a bit of dark humor and talking about tricky topics in his stories. Jory John's Journey as an Author

Jory John started his career helping kids learn. From 2004 to 2009, he worked at an organization called 826 Valencia in San Francisco. This group helps young people with their writing skills. While he was there, he helped create a book called Thanks and Have Fun Running the Country: Kids' Letters to President Obama.

After his time at 826 Valencia, Jory John decided to focus more on writing his own books. The very next year, he published All My Friends Are Dead with Avery Monsen.
