José María Dueso Villar was born on October 30, 1974. He is a Spanish boccia player. Boccia is a sport for athletes with disabilities. José María has proudly represented his country in international competitions, including the Paralympic Games.

José María Dueso is a boccia player with a BC4 classification. This means he has a severe physical impairment. He plays for the C.D. Hercesa club.

National Competitions

In 2008, José María competed in the Spanish national championships. These games were held in Lleida. In June 2011, he took part in the Spanish Boccia Club Championship in Elche, Spain. He won first place in the individual competition. He also won the BC4 open pairs competition with his team, CD Hercesa. In June 2012, he competed in the Spain national championships again. Playing with Alejandro Piquero Serrano, they won a gold medal in the BC4 pairs event. In October 2013, José María was ranked as Spain's top player in his classification.

International Competitions

José María was part of the Spanish national team at the World Championships in Lisbon in June 2010. He played in the individual BC4 event. He was eliminated in the second round.

In August 2011, he participated in the Boccia World Championships in Belfast, Northern Ireland. This event was important for players to qualify for the London Paralympic Games. He reached the quarter-finals in the individual event.

In January 2012, José María joined a special training camp. This camp was for the national team getting ready for the London Paralympics. It was organized by Spain's Cerebral Palsy Federation of Sports (FEDPC).

He competed at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. In the individual BC4 event, he won his first game with a score of 9–0. However, he lost in the round of eight.

In June 2013, José María was part of Spain's team at the European Championships. These championships were held in Guimaraes, Portugal.
