Josep Colom's Life and Music Journey
Josep Colom was born in Barcelona, Spain. He started learning to play the piano when he was very young. His aunt, Rosa Colom, was his first piano teacher in Barcelona. Later, he moved to Paris, France, to continue his studies at a special music school called the École Normale de Musique.

Josep Colom won many important awards for his piano playing.
- In 1972, he won First Prize at the very first Santander National Piano Competition.
- He also won First Prize at the Paloma O'Shea Santander International Piano Competition in 1978.
