Josephine Crawford Melville (born April 12, 1961 – died October 20, 2022) was a talented British actress, director, and writer. Many people knew her from her role in the TV show EastEnders.

Her Acting Journey

Josephine Melville, who was born in Essex, first appeared on television in 1983 in a show called Luna. In 1986, she played the character Tessa Parker in eight episodes of EastEnders. Later, in 2005, she returned to EastEnders for one episode as Ellie Wright.

She also acted in many other popular TV shows. These included The Bill, Prime Suspect, Casualty, and Pie in the Sky. In early 2022, she even appeared in a music video for the song "Brave" by Ella Henderson.

Josephine also acted in movies. She was in Empire State in 1987. She also had a role in a film called Slammer. In 2021, she took on a new challenge by producing and directing a short thriller movie called Assistance.
