Judith Jacob was born on December 13, 1961. She is a British actress. Many people know her for playing Carmel Roberts in the TV show EastEnders. She was on the show from 1986 to 1989. Judith also helped start the BiBi Crew. This was Britain's first comedy group made up only of Black actresses. She also created a live talk show called Judith Jacob Yabba Yabbas With Friends.

Becoming an Actress
Judith Jacob started acting at a young age. She went to the Anna Scher Theatre in London when she was 12. Just one year later, at 13, she appeared on TV for the first time. This was in a BBC series called Play for Today.
Early TV Roles
Before joining EastEnders, Judith was in other TV shows. She was a regular on the hospital drama Angels from 1979 to 1981. She also appeared in the Channel 4 comedy No Problem! from 1983 to 1985.
Joining EastEnders
In 1986, Judith Jacob got the role of Carmel Roberts in EastEnders. Her character was a health visitor. While on the show, Carmel faced very difficult times in her marriage. These challenges eventually led to her separation from her husband. Judith left the show in 1989.

After EastEnders, Judith continued her acting career.
The BiBi Crew
In 1991, Judith Jacob helped create the BiBi Crew. This was a groundbreaking comedy group. It was the first comedy troupe in Britain made up entirely of Black actresses. They performed many funny shows.

Judith has been in many other TV shows. These include the comedy sketch show The Real McCoy in 1991. She also appeared in The Queen's Nose (1995), Holby City (2003), Doctors (2003), and My Family (2004).
Judith Jacob Yabba Yabbas with Friends
From May to June 2009, Judith hosted her own talk show. It was called Judith Jacob Yabba Yabbas with Friends. She held the show at the Hackney Empire. On the show, she interviewed her friends who were also performers. She wanted to learn about their journeys and what inspired them. Famous guests included Felix Dexter and Tameka Empson.
Recent Stage Work
Judith Jacob continues to act on stage. In 2021, she joined the cast of the play White Witch. This play was shown at the Bloomsbury Theatre.
Family Life
Judith Jacob's daughter, Aisha, also became an actress. Aisha even worked with her mother on EastEnders in the 1980s. She played Carmel's young niece, Aisha Roberts. Aisha is now known as Aisha Jacob Williams.
