Julia Clukey, born on April 29, 1985, in Augusta, Maine, is an American athlete. She is famous for competing in the sport of luge. Luge is a winter sport where athletes slide down an icy track on a small sled, feet first. Julia started her luge career in 2002.

Julia Clukey's Luge Career
Julia Clukey competed in many important luge events. Her best finish in the Luge World Cup was 12th place. This happened during the 2007–08 season in the women's singles event.
World Championships and Olympic Games
At the FIL World Luge Championships, Julia achieved a great result. She finished fifth in the women's singles event. This impressive performance took place in Lake Placid, New York during the 2009 championships.
Julia also had the chance to compete in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Even though she faced some injuries, she was chosen for the team. At the Olympics, she finished 17th in the luge competition.
Overcoming Challenges
