Julia Altrocchi's Life Story

Julia Cooley Altrocchi was born on July 4, 1883, in Seymour, Connecticut. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois. Julia went to University High School in Chicago. Later, she graduated from Vassar College in 1914.

In 1920, she married Rudolph Altrocchi. Eight years later, in 1928, Julia and Rudolph moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. This was because her husband became a professor at the University of California, Berkeley. Julia lived in Berkeley, California until she passed away in 1972.

Julia and Rudolph had two sons, John Cooley and Paul Hemenway. Julia Altrocchi is buried at Sunset View Cemetery in El Cerrito, California.
