These include the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. Her work was part of the Whitney Biennial in 2002. It has also been seen at the Birmingham Museum of Art and the Honolulu Museum of Art Spalding House.

Photography Series

The Monsanto Project

One of Julie Moos's important series is called "Monsanto". In this project, she photographed American farmers. These farmers grow crops using Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). These GMOs are made by the Monsanto Company.

Moos created this series while living near Monsanto's main office. She wanted to show the farmers and their work in a fair way. She did not take sides on the topic of GMOs. Her pictures showed the farmers, their land, and the company that supported them. This series was inspired by a famous article and book. It was called "Let Us Now Praise Famous Men" by James Agee.

Friends and Enemies

Another interesting series by Julie Moos is "Friends and Enemies". This series shows pairs of people. These pairs are either best friends or worst enemies.

Moos photographs these people against simple backgrounds. She does not give any clues about their relationship. This allows the viewer to guess. It makes you think about how the two people might feel about each other.

About Her Life
