Jun Marques Davidson (ディビッドソン 純 マーカス, Davidson Jun Marques, born June 7, 1983) is a Japanese former footballer (soccer player). He is currently an assistant coach for the Malaysia Super League club Selangor.

Playing Career: Jun Marques Davidson's Journey
Youth Football: Early Days
Jun Marques Davidson was born and grew up in Tokyo, Japan. His mother is Japanese, and his father is American. In 1995, when he was 12, his family moved to Pasadena, California in the United States. There, he went to high school and played soccer for the American Global Soccer School.
Professional Debut in Japan
In 2002, Jun Marques Davidson returned to Japan. He started his professional soccer career with Omiya Ardija when he was 19 years old. After playing for three seasons in the J2 League (Japan's second division), he helped his team get promoted to the J1 League (the top division) in 2004. He stayed with Omiya Ardija until 2006, playing 87 games and scoring 2 goals.
In 2007, Davidson moved to Albirex Niigata. However, he didn't stay there for long. He was loaned out to two other teams: Vissel Kobe and Consadole Sapporo. He went back to Albirex Niigata in 2009.
Playing in North America
Jun Marques Davidson came back to the United States in 2010. He joined the Carolina RailHawks, a team in the USSF Division 2 Professional League. He helped the RailHawks win their conference title and reach the championship series.
In 2011, Davidson played for Tokushima Vortis in Japan's J2 League. He played 24 league matches and helped the team finish fourth, almost getting promoted. On January 1, 2012, Davidson signed with Vancouver Whitecaps in Major League Soccer (MLS), which is the top soccer league in the U.S. and Canada. He played two seasons for the Whitecaps.
In March 2014, he returned to the Carolina RailHawks and became the team captain. He was named the team's Most Valuable Player (MVP) that year, leading them to a fifth-place finish in the North American Soccer League.
Later Career and Retirement
From 2015, Davidson played for Navy in the Thai Premier League in Thailand. Later, he played for Charlotte Independence in the United Soccer League in the U.S. from 2016 to 2017. He stopped playing professional soccer at the end of the 2017 season.
Managerial Career: From Player to Coach
Starting as a Youth Coach
After retiring from playing in 2017, Jun Marques Davidson began his coaching career. He started by working with the youth teams at his former club, Omiya Ardija. In 2019, he moved to China to become a youth academy coach for Guangzhou R&F. In 2020, he became an assistant coach at Shijiazhuang Ever Bright.
Recent Coaching Roles
In early 2024, Davidson was appointed as the club director for Shaanxi Union. In June of the same year, he returned to Japan to coach the youth academy at J2 League club Kagoshima United.
On November 30, 2024, it was announced that Davidson would become an assistant coach for Selangor, a club in the Malaysia Super League. He will be working with fellow Japanese coach Katsuhito Kinoshi there.
